Clare Bradin, Counsel

Clare has over a decade of experience supporting her clients to navigate their most complex, high value and strategically significant disputes and investigations. She has a broad international commercial litigation practice including shareholder and contractual disputes, contentious regulatory matters, fund disputes and insolvency-related mandates, with a focus on the financial services sector. Her clients include banks, public and private companies, funds, directors and shareholders.

Prior to joining Conyers, Clare was a Senior Associate in an Australian office of top-tier global law firm. For nearly ten years, she was a dedicated and active member of the firm’s women’s committee, committed to promoting gender equality through events, awareness and resources.

A ‘fun fact’ about Clare: outside of work, she always has a number of arts and crafts projects on the go, drawing inspiration from patterns and textures in nature.

Alecia Johns, Counsel

Alecia has a wide ranging insolvency and disputes practice under both Cayman Islands and BVI law, inclusive of commercial litigation, cross border insolvency and restructuring, trusts disputes, fraud litigation, and asset tracing and recovery.

Alecia has been an active member of IWIRC since relocating to the Cayman Islands from the BVI in 2021 and now serves as IWIRC Community Chair for the IWIRC Cayman Network.

She is also an avid supporter of IWIRC events globally. She attended the IWIRC Leadership Summit in Singapore in June and travelled to Brazil in August where she spoke at IWIRC Brazil’s 6th Annual International Congress.

Alecia is a member of the International Insolvency Institute’s Next Gen Class XIII, having recently been inducted in Singapore in June of this year.

Prior to commencing private practice almost a decade ago, Alecia completed a DPhil in Human Rights law from the University of Oxford in 2015. She now serves as a member of the Cayman Islands Human Rights Commission.

A ‘fun fact’ about Alecia is that she is an amateur poet and playwright. Her claim to ‘fame’: winning a jingle writing competition in circa 2004 on a Jamaican radio station which earned her a free vacation in Ocho Rios.

Tonicia Williams, Senior Associate

Tonicia’s practice covers a wide range of commercial and civil litigation matters including insolvency proceedings, trust and estate litigation and regulatory matters. Tonicia has particular expertise in cross-border insolvency and restructuring proceedings between Hong Kong, the USA and the Cayman Islands. Tonicia also assists with advising clients on regulatory matters, in particular, sanctions, licence applications and data protection breaches.

Tonicia has been involved with IWIRC since December 2018 and mentored John Gray High School students for two consecutive years as part of the “Aim Higher” initiative. She regularly attends the IWIRC networking events as well as the educational and technical sessions.

A ‘fun fact’ about Tonicia: she practised ballet for 10 years, continuing into her late teenage years.

Sean-Anna Thompson, Associate

Sean-Anna joined Conyers’ Cayman Islands office in 2018 as an articled clerk and qualified in 2020. Her practice includes cross-border insolvency, restructuring and all aspects of international commercial litigation.

Sean-Anna graduated from the University of Westminster with a Bachelor of Laws, an LPC and an LLM. In 2019, Sean-Anna completed a secondment to Serle Court.

Sean-Anna has been an active member of IWIRC since 2020 and has served as the Cayman Network’s Secretary since 2021. During her IWIRC tenure, she has also acted as a mentor to high school students as part of IWIRC’s “Aim Higher” mentoring initiative. She regularly attends IWIRC networking events as well as the educational and technical sessions.

A ‘fun fact’ about Sean-Anna is that she participated in track and field, netball, basketball and football from a young age into her late teenage years and continued to play netball at the adult level for local teams.
