Conyers is pleased to announce the continued growth of its market leading Bermuda corporate practice with the recruitment of two additional Bermudian lawyers. Conyers welcomes associates Celine Collis and Matthew MacLeod to the firm.

Celine Collis joins Conyers from Reed Smith LLP in London, bringing expertise in corporate and commercial law with a focus on cross-border corporate finance, aviation finance, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters. Matthew MacLeod brings significant experience in corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities and corporate finance. Matthew trained and gained valuable post-qualification experience at Cox & Palmer, a leading law firm in Atlantic Canada.

These appointments reflect the firm’s strategic commitment to the recruitment and retention of exceptional Bermudians to drive the firm’s practice.

Marcello Ausenda, Head of the Bermuda Corporate Practice says, “We are delighted to welcome Celine and Matthew to Conyers. Their appointments reflect our desire to invest in and develop ‘best in class’ Bermudian legal talent to support and deliver superior legal solutions to our clients. Celine and Matthew have both had excellent training and work experience at leading onshore firms which makes them ideally suited to hit the ground running in our busy corporate practice. We are also very proud of the fact that the addition of Celine and Matthew makes our corporate team of lawyers the largest in Bermuda – measured by both size and number of Bermudian lawyers.”

The hiring of Bermudian lawyers aligns with Conyers’ broader commitment to nurturing talent through the firm’s Summer Law Student Programme, Pupillage Programme and continuing professional development for all lawyers. The firm remains dedicated to offering career pathways across all of its jurisdictions.
