Conyers announces continued growth in Asia through promotions in its Hong Kong and Singapore offices.
Conyers’ Corporate practice in Singapore welcomes Rita Leung, who has relocated from the Hong Kong office and has this month been promoted to Senior Associate. Rita’s practice covers all aspects of corporate law and corporate finance transactions. Her relocation is further evidence of the continuing growth of Conyers in Singapore, following as it does on the arrival of Director Anna Lin and the launch of the new Litigation & Restructuring practice there in September 2024.
“Rita completed a 9 month secondment in Singapore in 2023, and it is a pleasure to now welcome her as the most recent addition to our team,” says Preetha Pillai, Director and Head of the Singapore office. “Our corporate practice is bolstered by her arrival, further strengthening our abilities to provide the highest level of service to our clients in ASEAN.”
Conyers’ Disputes and Restructuring practice in Hong Kong similarly celebrates the promotion of Jasamine Yung to Senior Associate. Jasamine’s practice focuses on complex shareholders’ disputes, directors’ duties claims, enforcement of judgments and arbitration awards, and corporate insolvency and restructuring.
These promotions also follow the recent announcement of Partner Norman Hau as Hong Kong Head of Disputes and Restructuring, who remarks “We congratulate Jasamine on her success. Her expertise and diligence strengthen our team’s ability to deliver good results to our clients, and her promotion is a reflection of that.”
Earlier in 2024, Conyers’ Hong Kong legal practice saw the promotion of corporate lawyer Ryan McConvey to Partner and litigator Manwa Yip to Senior Associate, and in Singapore corporate practitioner Li Yan was also promoted to Senior Associate.
