Conyers is pleased to announce their 2024 Gap Year Programme, with recruitment now underway for the upcoming cohort starting this fall. First launched in 2020, the programme offers a meaningful experience to help students build a foundation for future success in the workplace.
The Gap Year Programme is an internship offered to recent high school and university undergraduates, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice for students who have taken a break from their studies or are exploring their career options. Students will have the ability to make an immediate impact through a variety of work assignments and projects. In addition students will have access to training, networking, and professional guidance. The programme gives students the chance to consider opportunities in several business services areas including compliance, marketing, trust services, corporate services and finance.
The Gap Year Programme consistently exceeds expectations, with many past participants securing full-time positions within the firm. “The Gap Year Programme is central to the long-term future of our business, and many of our students return to Conyers following the completion of their studies,” said Lisa Spencer-Arscott, Global Head of Human Resources. “We are looking forward to welcoming the next group of ambitious individuals.”
The programme generally requires a 3-4 month commitment to a full time position, starting in October 2024. Upon joining, students will receive a formal induction and will benefit from a variety of informal learning, mentoring, and professional development activities.
Conyers invites applications from Bermudian students aged 18 or older who are enrolled in (or have deferred) an associate or undergraduate degree programme. Applicants should be enthusiastic, open-minded, and eager to learn through practical experience. Familiarity with a corporate office setting is advantageous, but not required.
Interested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected] by 13 September 2024.
