Conyers advised 3i Infrastructure plc (“3i Infrastructure”) on the Bermuda law aspects of its agreement to acquire Global Cloud Xchange (“GCX”) for approximately US$512 million, announced on 17 November 2021.

GCX is a leading global data communications service provider. It owns one of the world’s largest private subsea fibre optic networks spanning 46 countries and servicing a range of blue-chip customers including hyperscalers, telecommunications operators, new media providers and enterprises.

3i Infrastructure (LSE: 3IN) is a FTSE 250 investment company with a focus on infrastructure in Europe and North America.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to the satisfaction of regulatory closing conditions and is expected to take place late in mid-2022.
