Jacqueline King is a Director in the Bermuda Corporate practice. She joined Conyers in 2012 and her practice includes all aspects of corporate law, with a particular focus on insurance law and regulation.
Jacqueline specializes in the licensing and ongoing regulation of insurance companies and regularly advises on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and direct listings, equity and debt financing as well as private placements.
Jacqueline is recognised as a Next Generation Partner by Legal 500 Caribbean (insurance/reinsurance).

- Advised Marsh on its establishment of Edgware Re. Ltd., a Bermuda domiciled and registered group captive insurance company. Edgware Re. Ltd. was formed to provide its participants and their affiliates with cyber (re)insurance coverage and enhanced control and stability for their cyber-insurance programs.
- Advised Macquarie on the formation and licensing of its long-term reinsurer InEvo Re Ltd. as a Class E insurer in Bermuda. InEvo Re was formed to provide innovative and evolutionary risk and capital solutions to life insurers around the world.
- Advised AmRisc Group and Stone Point Capital LLC on the formation and licensing of a special purpose reinsurance sidecar named Trouvaille Re Ltd. (“Trouvaille”). Trouvaille has been formed to provide reinsurance capacity for commercial excess & surplus property risks which has been produced by AmRisc.
- Advised on the establishment of incorporated segregated accounts company Monarch Point Re (ISAC) Ltd., and the subsequent licensing of it and related incorporated segregated accounts as Bermuda Collateralized Insurers.
- Advised Fidelity Investments on the establishment and licensing of Soteria Reinsurance Ltd. as a Class C insurer to focus on affiliate reinsurance of US Retail Fixed Annuities and Pension Risk Transfer Opportunities of existing and new Fidelity Investment Life Insurance Company business.
- Advised on the formation and launch of the Marsh sponsored cyber-only group captive Edgware Re. Edgware Re was formed to provide bespoke cyber coverage to its members while also providing them with increased control, stability and contract certainty than what is traditionally found in the cyber insurance market.
- Acted for Conduit Holdings Limited on its IPO on the London Stock Exchange and the establishment of its Class 4 insurer, Conduit Reinsurance Limited.
- Acted for Sirius International Insurance Group on its combination with ThirdPoint Reinsurance Ltd.
