Aaron Mayers, a commercial and chancery barrister, is an Associate in the Litigation and Restructuring practice in Conyers’ BVI office.

Prior to joining Conyers, Aaron spent three years as a barrister at one of England’s largest barristers chambers, practising in London and Oxford, where he developed a robust portfolio in commercial and chancery litigation.

Aaron has represented and advised a diverse clientele, including insurance companies, lending platforms, banks, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. He has worked for and advised clients both in the UK and offshore, and has developed a reputation for his strong courtroom advocacy and strategic litigation skills.

Throughout his career, Aaron has successfully handled a wide array of litigation matters, including director disputes, breach of contract, debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy. He is expanding upon this foundation of advocacy and advisory experience from within Conyers’ BVI team.

In addition to his litigation practice, Aaron is a Co-Founder and Trustee at Bridging the Bar, a charity focused on supporting aspiring barristers. He has also appeared as a guest speaker and panellist for numerous professional bodies and universities.
Prior to beginning his practice in England, Aaron graduated with a First Class LLB Law degree and obtained his BPTC qualification, being called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2018. Before his formal qualification as a barrister, he honed his skills at Signature Litigation in London and Baker & Partners in Jersey, where he focused on developing litigation strategies and contributed to advice and representation in complex, high-value disputes.

  • Advised and drafted pleadings for a company in a claim for breach of directors’ duties.
  • Drafted pleadings and successfully represented a large lending platform in multiple debt recovery disputes, followed by obtaining orders to enforce judgment.
  • Advised and drafted pleadings for an estate beneficiary, followed by successful negotiation for the release of assets in mediation.
  • Advised and successfully represented an antique vehicle trader in a commercial dispute.
